Another Jack Injury Scare and RVP to PSG ?

Happy Sunday Gooners,

Before I start with today’s article I want to wish all Ghanaian a “Happy Republic Day”.

This day marks the day Ghana gain their political Independence from the British colonizers which was hard-won through a series of massive political upheavals that lasted for over a century. But finally, in 1957, Ghana was declared an independent republic. Three years later, the government instituted the first Republic Day celebrations, on July 1st, 1960. since then Ghana has reserve this day to honour our past hero for their fight to gain us our freedom from the British. Well That’s something small on our republic day; you can Google/Bing Ghana republic day if you want more on that.

Now let’s shift our attention away from the republic day stuff to this scary article published by the Sunday Mirror who are reporting that Jack Wilshere is set to miss the start of the season with Arsenal and may not return to competitive action until after the international break in September due to his operation in Sweden two month ago to cure a problem with his knee.

The young Englishman was sidelined for the whole of the 2011-12 campaign with an ankle injury suffered in the Emirates Cup tie with Thierry Henry’s New York Red Bulls in July 2011.

But despite working hard behind the scenes at London Colney, the England international looks set to miss Arsenal’s pre-season tours to Asia and Africa.

He will also miss England’s World Cup qualifiers with Moldova on September 7 and the home game against Ukraine four days later.

In other News, Daily and Sunday Express reporting Arsenal’s Captain Robin Van Persie was last night mulling over a £25million move to Paris St Germain.

Last season’s multi-Player Of the Year award winner in England is considering the switch to France after Arsenal appeared to be unwilling to bust a gut to keep him.

They also went far claiming,  the signing of Lucas Podolski and Olivier Giroud means Arsene Wenger is believed to have signaled that he can now afford to let RVP go if the Dutchman continues to play hardball over a new contract.

They added Man City’s interest has cooled since the Dutchman’s disappointing Euro show and the players place on Arsenal’s pre-season tour to Malaysia, Hong Kong and Nigeria this month could now be taken by Andrey Arshavin, whose £8m move back to Zenit St Petersburg appears to have hit the buffers.

PSG? Wow, who will trade the number one league in this world to play for arguable 5th ranked league in the World?

Well that’s all for today, let’s hope M’Vila’s Arsenal deal will be sealed this month or after the Tour.

  1. Dude, WTF? Did you have to call it injury scare? They have given him a 12-week rehabilitation program, how is that a scare?

  3. I do hope Jack injury will come to pass soon, a plorific player, well soon boy!. Rvp, he can go, was like jack sometime past.

  4. Is it because RvP wants to leave the club or another collection of headlines. By the way, is it prohibitted to sign a new contract then leave like the way Fabregas did? Now, here is my simple advice to RvP. Having played well for the club just for one year, not like Messi, Ronaldo, Rooney who have been there like they are for years. Yous shinning star has not yet been tested and proven. Don’t over rate yourself like Nic Ben. Keep Arsenal, and Arsenal will keep you

Please accept my humblest apology regarding my Wilshere comment. I was speeding through the posts today (running late) – less haste more speed. Injury UPDATE… SORRY!!!
However the RVP comment still stands. Rehashing stories is rife in the Arsenal sites and it really bugs me.

Thanks for keeping calm, and for your non-rudeness in reply.
