Wenger’s plan for Rio Miyaichi and Benayoun

Wenger confirmed in his pre-match media briefing ahead of the club’s away game at the Ewood Park that, the Japan’s Youngster Ryo Miyaichi has successfully recovered from a calf injury.

Miyaichi made his return in Arsenal reserves draw game against Bolton on Tuesday night and that he might be included in the squad traveling to the North West and will surely be involved in Arsenal’s Carling Cup match against Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Wenger said:

If Ryo Miyaichi has a chance to play against Blackburn and Shrewsbury?

“Yes to both questions.

“I don’t know whether he will be in the Blackburn squad but certainly on Tuesday against Shrewsbury he will be involved.

Arsene Wenger confessed that, it’s too early for the club to decide whether Yossi Benayoun will be signed permanently.

When Asked about the Israeli captain during Thursday’s pre match media briefing, the Gunners manager explained, what he expects from the 31-year old midfielder is hard work, commitment.

This is What the Manger Said on Benayoun;

“It’s too early to say whether we will permanently sign Yossi Benayoun at the moment.

“What I expect from him? To contribute as much as he can to the success of the squad, like every other player, not more, not less, to give his best everytime he plays and integrate well the way we want to play football.

“What I think he can do? He can play on the flanks, he can play in the middle, even if I think he prefers to play on the flank. But overall he has shown on Tuesday night that he is physically completely fit again.”
